| The Brompton 5 First Street, Brompton SA 5007 If friends hadn't physically driven me there in a car I would never have found the place. Tucked away at the end of a sidestreet off another dimly lit and lonely sidestreet is this tribute to the restoration architects craft. Old stone walls encased in glass, huge wooden beams capped and topped with steel, startling sliding glass doors that you didn't even know were doors until they moved... all very impressive. Oh, and one of my companions told me the ladies toilet was the "nicest toilet I've ever seen"... (more) Brothers in Arms 'No.6' Shiraz Cabernet 2004 A 2004 for the same price as other 2008s! Yes I know it's purile to suggest that wines be judged only on the year of bottling, but people do that. It's a very nice wine and let's face it, if you've brought along a nice 2004 and someone else has a nice 2008, you win. Simple as that. And it's only about $20. |
Ross Noble Adelaide Entertainment Centre 18th June Review by Nicole The German Intern. I was surprised that he did his two and a half hour show doing spontaneous stand-up. He would pick on audience members, run with it for the entire show or tell about how he sees life whether it is about himself being a dream walker, the way Beyonce dances or family life situations.
